This Sunday, we continue our Advent sermon series, “Waiting for Jesus,” by turning from the theme of Waiting to the theme of Peacemaking. Advent invites us to reflect on Christ as the Prince of Peace and to prepare our hearts for his coming. We’ll explore how Matthew 5 calls us to embody God’s peace in tangible, restorative ways. Jesus’ words remind us that peacemaking is not passive but an active expression of God’s character in the world. Together, we’ll consider how meeting needs and righting wrongs become part of our faithful anticipation of Christ’s arrival.
