This second week of Lent, we continue our series through the Gospel of Mark, focusing on Peter’s pivotal confession in Mark 8 and the intense conversation that followed. We will learn what it means to follow Jesus with the concerns of God in mind rather than our own.

CloseAgain and again, in the Christmas story, the angelic messengers say, "Be not afraid." At the center of this narrative is Mary, a young teenager who has lots of reasons to be afraid as her world is turned upside down. This message reflects on how the story of Mary speaks to our own fears, whether personal, social, or political, and the invitation God extends to us this Advent season.
